Advanced Scheduler Hierarchies for Site-Specific Tasks & Billing Methods

Do you use the Advanced Scheduler to dispatch Service?  If so, your life may have been simplified.

If you need to schedule a bunch of Work Orders and Trips at once, chances are that you're using the Advanced Scheduler. This article will clarify the hierarchy in which the system pulls Tasks and Billing Methods.

Have questions on how to use the Advanced Scheduler?

Stated simply, the Advanced Scheduler will follow this 3 tiered hierarchy based on your selected Trade and Service:

  1. Site Vendor Assignee
  2. Site Default
  3. Trade Service Default

Seen enough? Check out how this hierarchy impacts specific workflows here.

Hierarchy explained....

Hierarchy Tier 1: Site Specific Vendor Assignee

Available from the 'Service Rate' section of the Site profile, within each Trade + Service you can set a unique configuration by Billing Method. Within the Billing Method section, you can expand to select prioritized Vendors with a unique set of Tasks.

Hierarchy Tier 2: Site Default

The second tier of the hierarchy will be referenced when there is no data available for the specified Vendor for the Advanced Scheduler's selected Trade and Service. Available from the same 'Service Rate' section of the Site profile, the top section of each Trade + Service section will allow you to set Site's Default Tasks and Billing Methods for the Trade and Service. One callout for the Site default is the absence of rates, as this will be managed elsewhere within the platform.

Hierarchy Tier 3: Trade Service Default

The final tier of the hierarchy will be referenced when there is no data specified at the Site. If the Site retains no priority data, the system will reference the default section from the Service. Typically set up by your Admin, the Trade Service Default is available from 'Product & Services' >> 'Services & Rates'. Using the nested sections, you can select default Billing Methods and Tasks.
