ServiceChannel Web Service Integration: Contractor Request Form

Overview

ServiceChannel requires explicit approval from all parties before any data changes or transfers flow through its Web Services. The Contractor Request Form for Web Service Integration records what the contractor requests and what the Client agrees to, transfer type by transfer type.

How to complete the form

  1. Fill in the Requested by Contractor column.
  2. Have the Client fill in the Agreed by Client column.
  3. Sign the document and have the Client sign it.
  4. Return the completed document to scintegration@servicechannel.com.

What the form authorizes

Each transfer type is approved Yes or No by both the contractor and the Client:

  • Complete a work order directly into billable status (Completed or Completed - Confirmed). Clients typically check No here.
  • Complete a work order into the non-billable status Completed - Pending Confirmation.
  • Update a work order into a non-billable status other than Completed - Pending Confirmation (On Site, Parts on Order, and similar).
  • Transfer internal check in/out data in lieu of IVR check in/out. If caller ID from the store phone is required, the Client may want to check No.
  • Post notes and scheduled date changes from the contractor's internal system.
  • Use Web Services to create Work Orders, only for locations and trades the provider is assigned.
  • Use Web Services to set a non-zero NTE value, only for Work Orders the contractor is allowed to create.

Notes on Web Service Integration

  • Work order updates via ServiceChannel's Web Services follow the same rules as on the website. The primary purpose is removing double entry between contractor and ServiceChannel systems.
  • IVR check in/out or transferred internal check in/out data is posted to IVR data for the contractor.
  • The contractor can update notes in the system immediately, improving overall communication.
  • ServiceChannel may later ask to remove AUTO-DISPATCH from the PM Schedule.
