How To Enable the Pause Trip and Must Return option
Technicians will be able to check out of a trip and select a Must Return option, which will generate a new estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the trip. This feature can help improve efficiency and ensure that technicians return with necessary parts or complete their tasks within the specified timeframe.
1. It's very important to turn these two settings on from your Workflow. You can navigate to the Workflow, expand the Trips section under "Work Orders" menu and turn these two settings on.
2. Click "Product & Services"
3. Click "Services"
4. You should see a default list of all Trades. Click on the Trade row to view Services under the Trade
5. Click on the pencil icon of Service to add/update Service settings
6. You should see a pop-up, click "Advanced Settings"
7. Click "ON" under Activate column for "Enable Pause Trip"
8. Click "ON" under Activate column for "Must Return Check Out Setting"
Note: This will allow your technicians to check out of a Trip and select a Must Return option you add under this field
9. Click here to add a new option for Must Return
10. Click the "Type text here" field and enter a name
11. Click the "Hours/Days" dropdown to set up new Trip ETA that generates from Must Return option
12. Enter a count
13. If your technician selects "Parts Needed" as a Must Return option the new ETA for the Trip will be automatically set to 7 days. The technician must return back with the Parts within 7 days to check in successfully on the new Trip
14. Click "Add" to add a new option under Must Return
15. Click the "Type text here" field and enter a name
16. Click the "Hours/Days" dropdown to set up new Trip ETA that generates from Must Return option
17. Click this number field to enter a count
18. If your technician selects "Incomplete" reason as a Must Return option the new ETA for the Trip will be automatically set to 1 day. The technician must return back within a day to check in successfully on the new Trip
19. Click "Add" to add a new option under Must Return
20. Click the red cross "x" to remove the row
21. Click Save on "Advanced Settings" pop-up
22. Scroll down and click Save to apply changes
23. You should see a success modal pop-up. Click on "x" to close this modal pop-up
